This policy explains how EMBER & SALT handles information provided through this website and reservation experience.
Last updated 25 July 2026
1. Information provided by guests
The reservation experience may ask for the information needed to describe and prepare an evening at EMBER & SALT.
- First and last name, email address and telephone number.
- Dining experience, party size, preferred date and arrival time.
- Pairing preference and occasion.
- Dietary requirements, allergy information, accessibility or seating requirements, and additional reservation notes.
2. How information is used
Information entered into the reservation experience is intended to manage a reservation or Private Dining request, prepare for dietary and access requirements, communicate about changes, provide reservation details and respond to enquiries. It is not collected for marketing through this version of the website.
3. Current frontend reservation behaviour
This release is a frontend-only reservation experience. An unfinished draft may be stored temporarily in session storage in the current browser so progress can be restored.
The draft is cleared after the confirmation view is created or when a guest starts a new reservation. Session storage is normally cleared when the browser session ends. Information entered here is not currently submitted to a production reservation database, and this website does not claim that restaurant staff have received it.
4. Reservation references
The website may create a local reservation or request reference for the confirmation view, copying and calendar export. The reference helps identify the details shown in the current session; it is not an authentication token.
5. Dietary and accessibility information
Dietary, allergy and accessibility notes may contain sensitive practical information. Guests should provide only what is needed to prepare the visit and do not need to disclose a medical diagnosis.
6. Cookies and browser storage
The website uses session storage for a namespaced marker showing that the cinematic intro has completed and for an unfinished reservation draft. Temporary in-memory state supports the current reservation steps.
The current website does not use advertising or analytics cookies and does not require a cookie banner. Storage access is browser-only and the experience remains usable when session storage is unavailable.
7. Third-party services
The site is prepared for Cloudflare-compatible hosting. Fonts are bundled into the application at build time rather than requested from a font service at runtime. The directions action opens Google Maps in a separate page, and calendar export creates a local .ics download for the guest’s chosen calendar application.
8. Data retention
This frontend release does not maintain a production guest database or define a server-side retention period. Local draft information lasts only for the current browser session unless it is cleared earlier. Any future production reservation service would require its own accurate retention information before launch.
9. Questions about guest information
Guests may contact EMBER & SALT to ask about personal data or reservation information associated with the restaurant. Because the current form does not submit data to a production system, include only the information needed to explain the enquiry.
10. Contact
Privacy enquiries may be sent to hello@emberandsalt.pl or addressed to EMBER & SALT, ul. Dobra 42, 00-312 Warsaw, Poland.
